Are you an experienced Hot Rolling Mill Operator looking for a new challenge? Join Duferco Danish Steel, where you’ll play a hands-on role in our operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity at every turn.
About the Role
As a Hot Rolling Mill Operator, you will:
- Operate directly on the production line.
- Work in rotating shifts under the guidance of the shift group leader.
- Set rolls, adjust guides, and fine-tune mill controls for optimal performance.
- Prepare the mill for changes in rolling sizes and shapes.
- Monitor the mill’s condition and make real-time adjustments based on deviations.
- Collaborate with the mill crew to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Work closely with other departments to overcome technical challenges and meet production goals.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need at least 3 years of hands-on operational experience in hot rolling mills (merchant bars preferred), including stand preparation expertise.
Familiarity with steel industry standards, safety protocols, and quality control procedures.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment.
Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
Sense of responsibility for own work and team’s success.
Language: Fluency in English and/ or Danish.
